Located in Markham, Cathedraltown is a vibrant community that takes its name from the grand Cathedral of the Transfiguration – a landmark situated in the heart of the town.
The community features approximately 1,400 low-density units, 400 high-density housing units and roughly 200,000 square feet of retail space, which are integrated into thoughtfully designed neighbourhoods surrounding a central public plaza. An additional 46 acres of highway commercial land round out the development.
Evoking the charm of a European town, Cathedraltown’s residential neighbourhoods draw inspiration from Georgian and Regency architecture. Pedestrian-friendly streets and plenty of green space provide a welcoming environment for residents to live and work.
Design Plan Services was retained by Fram-Bordeaux Developments Ltd. to coordinate the planning of this entire community.
