This Subdivision, located directly west of Church Street North, in the northwestern most point of the Town of Ajax, includes over 200 homes, ranging from street and laneway townhouses to larger single detached dwellings, a stormwater pond.
The careful and measured design of this subdivision allows it to integrate peacefully into the existing pattern of housing in the surrounding area. Situated directly east of Urfe Creek and adjacent to the Trans Canada Trail, this community is closely integrated with the nature and green space around it.
Design Plan Services was retained by Coughlan Homes to plan this community and provide planning expertise to bring this subdivision to completion.
Prior to the preparation of the subdivision, we worked closely with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority, the Town of Ajax Staff, and several key stakeholders to develop a master environmental and servicing plan (MESP) over an area of land greater than 40 hectares (100 acres). This MESP addressed several critical engineering, environmental, and planning matters and supported several development applications in the area, including the Coughlan Homes subdivision.
Once the MESP was accepted by the TRCA and Town Staff, DPS designed the plan of subdivision, and crafted a zoning by-law amendment that would permit the range of homes and green space proposed within the subdivision
